Our Team

Insightful, tenacious, and dedicated attorney Tara Jensen brings fierce advocacy to those she represents.

Tara Jensen advocates for individuals navigating a broad spectrum of employment and civil rights disputes, including discrimination, retaliation, whistleblower claims, sexual harassment and assault, pay equity, and wage theft.

Tara brings more than 15+ years of experience to her practice, built on the understanding that workplace discrimination rarely announces itself outright — but tends to hide in plain sight. That sensitivity shapes her approach: strategic, resourceful, and well-suited to the layered complexity that often defines employment litigation.

She built the foundation of her career in New York, spending years as a partner and litigation attorney at two respected labor and employment firms. In that role, she stood alongside labor unions and individual workers across the full range of workplace conflicts — from discrimination and retaliation to wage and hour disputes. Her courtroom experience runs deep, spanning state and federal trial and appellate proceedings, administrative hearings, and both mediation and arbitration settings.

Prior to her years in private practice, Tara clerked for the Honorable Ronald L. Ellis of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York and served as a Civil Rights Litigation Fellow at Bernabei & Wachtel, a Washington, D.C. firm focused on civil rights work.

A graduate of the City University of New York School of Law, Tara distinguished herself in moot court, earning honors for both brief-writing and oral argument. Her law school years also included internships with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) and the Center for Constitutional Rights. She earned her undergraduate degree summa cum laude from the University of St. Thomas, double-majoring in Peace and Justice Studies and Communications.

Outside the office, Tara is kept busy by her two children, cheering them on at dance recitals and soccer games throughout the week. When the family isn’t on the sidelines, they’re often out on the water, paddle boarding and swimming along the Chain of Lakes. She can also be found planning the family’s next getaway to the Caribbean.
