The 2016 Upper Midwest Law Institute, a two-day continuing legal education seminar taking place this week in St. Paul, will feature both Clayton Halunen and Kaarin Nelson as presenters. As a co-presenter on “Litigating the Reprisal Claim – Focus on the Big Issues,” Clayton will discuss his experience and legal strategies for litigating retaliation cases. Kaarin, a Halunen partner, is covering the latest information on the Family and Medical Leave Act as a co-presenter in “FMLA Update – New Cases and Other Important Developments.”
Halunen class action attorney Christopher Moreland is presenting this week at a different conference, “Focusing on the End Game: Winning Your Appeal at Trial,” sponsored by the Minnesota Association for Justice Center for Legal Education. Moreland is a on a panel with the topic, “How to Win Your Appeal at Trial.” He will focus on developing the evidentiary record during litigation to put a case in the best position to face an appeal.
