Clayton Halunen’s representation of Chris Kluwe in a lawsuit against the Minnesota Vikings was included in the Twin Cities Business list of the ten “most notorious local ventures into the legal system” for 2014. The article describes Kluwe’s efforts to change NFL culture by challenging anti-gay conduct and ultimately filing a lawsuit when he was terminated. The settlement of the lawsuit resulted in significant efforts to benefit the GLBT communicty.
The article also mentions Heidi Weber’s lawsuit against Globe University, challenging deceptive marketing with respect to placement data and transferability of credits. The jury verdict for $395,000 was recently upheld by the Minnesota Court of Appeals.
