Clayton D. Halunen practices in the areas of employment and consumer law, Sarbanes-Oxley, class action litigation and qui tam actions under the False Claims Act. He has received national attention for his work in employee misclassification class actions and has obtained one of the largest verdicts in Minnesota history for a workers’ compensation/age discrimination case. He is currently co-lead counsel in a national defective products class action involving IKO shingles. Mr. Halunen has obtained millions of dollars for his clients in both verdicts and settlements. He served on the leadership team in a defective products case against CertainTeed Shingles that yielded a settlement valued in excess of $700 million. Mr. Halunen is a Labor and Employment Law Specialist, certified by the Minnesota State Bar Association. He is a member of the National Employment Lawyers Association and the Minnesota State Bar Association.  He serves on the Board of the Minnesota Chapter of the Federal Bar Association. He is a frequent lecturer, has been named to the Super Lawyers list in Minnesota Law & Politics magazine every year since 2003, and is regularly named to Who’s Who in Minnesota Employment Law.
